SUMMER PLANS

This summer I’m going to do a lot of things. Everyday I’m going to the swimmingpool with my friends. On 24th June, I’m going to a camp with my friends, too, and maybe, we’re going to the beach sometimes. It’s going to be a fantastic summer with my friends! I’m going to work, too. Maybe I’m going to work in a summer playscheme. I’m going to do my summer homework. In August, I’m going to go on holidays to Almuñecar, in Granada. It’s going to be great: the hotel is in front of the beach. It’s very big and beautiful. I’m going to do a lot of new friends. These holidays are going to be shorter than last year, but this year can be funnier. I think that this summer is going to be fun and fantastic.

FIRE IN THE KITCHEN

THERE WAS FIRE IN A HOTEL IN BARCELONA

When I was at the hotel, on my last holidays (8th August 2009), a strange thing happened. I was listening to music in front of the reception with my friends and everybody started running and shouting. We didn't know what was happening. There was fire in the kitchen. When we knew that, we went outside. The firemen were arriving, but everybody was scared. When the firemen extinguished the fire, they told us what happened: the cook didn't see that he left the oven on. He went out and forgot the oven. When he returned, he saw the fire and called the firemen. Then, thay arrived and extinguished the fire.

When the fire started, I didn't know what was happening. I saw a lot of people running out of the hotel, but why? The other people were in the swimmingpool, in the restaurant or in their rooms. The situation was frightening because I saw everybody shouting and running outside the hotel, but it wasn't frightening too because I didn't know what was happening. When I knew what was happening, I went outside the hotel running, too.

When the accident finished, everybody returned to the swimmingpool, to the restaurant and to their rooms. I felt that I was very frightened when I knew that was fire. When everything was finished, I called this newspaper to write this accident in the hotel.

MY ROBOT

A TV is a fantastic gadget. It's a nice gadget. It's very useful when you're bored or you don't have anything to do. I'ts big and heavy. It has got a big screen. It's useful and expensive. We use the TV to whatch when you're bored, when you don't have anything to or when a TV program that you like is on.

WRITING: HISTORY

One day a group of friends had a birthday party. At the moment, they have the presents for the boy that celebrated the birthday party. When they went to the present box, there weren't any presents in the box. Then they searched all the presents around the house. After that the presents appeared in the bath. Everybody is surprised: who had taken the presents? A year later he celebrated his birthday party again. The presents disappeared again! In the end, one guest discovered who had taken the presents: it was a neighbour joke.

MY HOLIDAYS

Last summer, my parents and I went to Roquetas de Mar, Almería, four our great and fantastic holidays. We travelled by car, We stayed in the car for twelve hours! It was terrible. I hate travelling by car for a long time, but it was worth it. When we arrived, we left the luggage in our room and we walked arround the hotel. The hotel’s name was Playalinda. It was in front of the beach. We could see it from the swimmingpool of the hotel. The hotel had a very big swimmingpool and it had a long and big slide. It was great. We played volleyball in the pool, we went to the beach, we swam in the pool and we went to a a small western theme park called Oasys Park. The park had a small western town, with horses, Indian towns and the museums of the first cars and movies that were made there and also had a wild animals, like zebras, crocodiles, snakes, endangered birds, lions, tigers.... We ate some very good food! There was a good and delicious food like pancake, the corner of the burger, delicious salads, chips ... For breakfast there were delicious chocolate donuts, batons, bacon... I get hungry just thinking about it. I would like to return to this hotel next summer. It was great!
